Just kidding!
...or are we?
Did you know that the original Pac-Man (1980) was designed with infinite levels?
Namco's developers never imagined anyone would reach the end —
but at Level 256, an 8-bit integer overflow caused the level counter
to wrap from 255 back to 0. The game didn't crash —
instead, the right half of the maze filled with corrupted memory garbage,
leaving 9 pellets in unreachable tiles and making the level impossible to clear.
This became known as the legendary "Kill Screen."

▋ DECRYPTING TARGET PROFILES_
Know your hunters.
Pac-Man (1980): every ghost has a personality.
●BLINKY — The Pursuer. Locks on and chases Pac-Man directly. ●PINKY — The Ambusher. Targets four tiles ahead of where you're facing. ●INKY — The Flanker. Triangulates with Blinky to cut you off. ●CLYDE — The Coward. Chases hard when far — bolts for his corner when close.
Toru Iwatani's team designed each ghost to feel different on purpose —
they were the first video game characters with distinct AI personalities.

Monsters
Each monster has a distinct AI personality (1980 Pac-Man arcade rules):
Blinky — chases your current tile directly.
Pinky — targets 4 tiles ahead of where you're facing (ambush).
Inky — pivots around Blinky to flank you.
Clyde — chases when far away; retreats to his corner when close.
Speed increases each level, with extra boosts at Level 5 and Level 7. Killed or frozen monsters respawn after a few seconds.
